Slimy aquarium after Interpet 8 |

I discovered that 4 of my guppys have rotted fins, so I applied Interpet N8 treatment for Anti Fungus and Finrot. As advised the Ammonia and Carbon filter were removed and now my problems started to spiral out of control... ALL things that are alive (fish, shrimps, snails) swim at the top gasping for air. All Aquarium is covered in some white slime (plants loot to suddenly grow fur of slime all over them).
Power head is working overtime blowing microbubbles like mad and still fish doesn't have enough air.
Can anyone advise?
Thanks. |

WATER CHANGE! ASAP!!!
not all of it, and air stones...
I used Primafix to rid of my whitespot (which didnt work!) and it did the same, foam bubbles, lack of 02. |

Big water change needed buffer the water .As i said in a previous post the guppy and most farmed fish are a chemical monster which lose all their immunity ,next time go for home bred fish or try the wild types good luck. |

clownloachlady why did you use pimafix for whitespot? Pimafix is a bacterial and fungal remedy that will have as you have found no effect on whitespot.
You say you have tried esha exit on another thread what other remedies have you tried? |

Incidentally I have used pimafix myself for a stubborn bacterial problem on one of my fish the stuff did a fantastic job and did not resutl in any oxygen depletion possibly due to the level of surface aggitation in my tank. |
