i'm pretty sure they're male and female now, someone said about the males fins being more pointed too and they definately are. Hopefully get some babies soon, how long do eggs take to hatch and how long can fry stay with mum and dad before they kill them too ! |

well Zoe, a lot of people say Convicts will eat their fry after a few weeks coz they want to breed again, BUT, i currently have SIX breeding pairs and have gone through about 30-odd breeding events and NEVER have i seen one of my Convicts eat their fry, even if i left the fry in for months |

actually the problem with leaving the fry in is, when they breed again the pesky fry start eating the new born fry!!!!! |

and you would get warning signs, the male will start "roughing" up the female if he's not happy with fry in the tank |

and if they do eat the fry, no problem, then you know!!!! they will breed again within 4-6 weeks anyway, if not sooner |

once a pair form and breed, as long as you dont disturb too much or introduce other Convicts, they will keep breeding, thats all they will do, it will be an on-going ritual!!!!! |
