Anyone got any idea's how to deal with so called new pond syndrome??
Ive had a koi pond for about 10 yrs and recently had to reline it, im now having no end of problems. |

what probs u havin angel? have u tried using a bio starter?

Hi Anna, yes ive used a bio starter. although the filter was kept up and running all the time, I had the fish in a big tank with some of the pond water and diverted the filter to it. |

all the Koi are sitting hundled in a corner on the bottom, a couple keep lying over to one side, The PH is high, although not excessively..... I Have a Channel Catfish which doesnt seem to be effected, its swimming around as usual eating everything.

hi miky you will find that the p.h is to high for them koi lay on there side due to p.h problems its normally after heavy rain as this affects p.h
i worked in a shop for years common problem easy to resolve change some of the water and take the chlorine out they should then pick up |

Hi Micky, I also had the same problems this year. water changes definately helped. Also the water temperature should be getting higher so they should start feeding and the filters will kick back into life again.

ul probably find that the koi wud have been stressed out from bein moved around and r settlin in to the new water which can take up2 two weeks
