When keeping beasties like sea hares or anemones yuou need to put a sponge over the intake of any power heads as they do have a tendency to get sucked on to them its a real pain I had an anemone do it made a right mess of the tank thankfully it was the pump feeding the skimmer and it seemed to remove all the nematacysts saving my fish from a nasty end.
The only exception to the sponge rule ar ethe stream pumps but these are generally well clear of the rock work and the like so tend not to be a problem. |
