Rowaphos will reduce growth of algae by reducing phosphates it will not kill algae just reduces its level of food.

Its very normal to get all these things within the first 6 months with uncured rock. Just keep doing your water changes to keep the nitrate down, use rowaphos to help reduce the bad algae (brown/green)and use supplements like seachem calcium or carib-sea "purpleup" to encourage the nice purple calcerous algae to grow instead.
Dont worry about any of the leafy algae's they are all good, they use up nitrate so are no harm at all.
