My convict are tending nicely to their eggs, fanning them and picking any loose bits off, how long do they take to hatch and should i do water changes or just let them get on with it ?.

Normally about 3 days, just leave the fish to guard them and look after them they will keep them fungus free. You will most likely make them stress out if you start putting your hands in the tank.
