Tropiquarium 88 - set up for about 3 years
External Fluvel filter
2 power heads
1 wet/dry trickle filter (internal)
2 clowns
2 Green Chromis
1 Orange spotted Goby
1 Cleaner shrimp
1 bubble anenome
2 Beadlets
1 pulse coral (small)
30 Nassarius snails
Small amount of Caulerpa grape
small amount of Caulerpa (ribbon type stuff!)

High (20ppm) Nitrates
LOTS AND LOTS of brown powdery diatoms which I can't get rid of!

I got some of the good algae to help with Nitrates, etc but I can't seem to get it to grow. Also have a thick covering opf the brown powder (diatoms?)
I placed a phosphate removing bag into the external filter but then read that this will affect my good algae (which I can't seem to grow!)

Any advice GREATLY recieved!!! (Please?!)

Try some turbo snails and maybe a tang that should help. The Nassarius snails are better at turning over your sand bed. Put 1 turbo for every gallon, should help out.
