TANK WIPE OUT |

Well I have just suffered a complete fish wipe out with what looks like whire spot.
2 Clowns
2 yellow tail damsells
Bird Wrasse
Cleaner Wrasse
Bi-colour Angel
Manderin
Bubble Tip Anenome
ALL DEAD !!!!
The soul surviver is a rabbit fish (fox face) Who is really not looking good, may be a day left!!
All inverts and corals are well.
I'm going to have to execute water changes, installed a UV and leave the tank without fish for 2 mounths to make sure those *** parasites die along with the fish they killed!
I have a hospital tank set-up now but too little too late, however this will be ready for any new fish and will from now on be a quaratine tank.
Too all you new aquarists thinking of a reef set-up, it is essential you have a small tank running along side your main tank in order to treat your fish more effectivly. It may cost you say £70 pounds to set-up but with out doubt it will save your fish and your wallet 100 times over.
My daughter is only five and trying to explain where her fish has gone is also not so pleasent!
This is the *** side of the hobby and losing fish this way seems crule... I ask myself why should they die from my inexperience!!! |

no, so you can dissconnect the other tank, and then you have a tank with exactly the same perameters as your main tank. |

Trouble with that nige is you could be infecting your hospital tank!! however I suppose you can still use copper trace medication in it once disconnected, that could be a good idea!

Currently getting over a similar experience currently I have 3 fish in quarantine lost a powder blue tang and a female tomato clown that was 5 years old gutted as she was one half of a pair take the chance to sort anything you don't like about your set up try and get something good out of it. |
