HI. I bought a second hand protein skimmer yesterday that was full of crud, Ive managed to clean most of it off but was wondering if there was anything that I could use to clean the rest off. its a sealed unit and impossible to get my hands inside. cheers

Hi
I used to use white vinegar to clean mine mate,left it to soak for a couple of hoursor so and wash it out well afterwards

leave it to soak over night if you can that should get shot of all the calcified deposits.

I have done the over night soak and it has come up spottless. just need to now look at how it works and how I can set it up. never kept marine and never seen in the flesh a protien skimmer.
