13-05-2006 11:32 by tony mcculloch	HI. I bought a second hand protein skimmer yesterday that was full of crud, Ive managed to clean most of it off but was wondering if there was anything that I could use to clean the rest off. its a sealed unit and impossible to get my hands inside. cheers
13-05-2006 15:48 by darren	Hi I used to use white vinegar to clean mine mate,left it to soak for a couple of hoursor so and wash it out well afterwards HTH

15-05-2006 09:43 by tony mcculloch	I have done the over night soak and it has come up spottless. just need to now look at how it works and how I can set it up. never kept marine and never seen in the flesh a protien skimmer.
