15-05-2006 10:26 by Ray	I have reared quite a few broods of fry and have noticed that the majoratory of them seem to be male,also when buying groups the female ratio is low,10 maingano only two females 6 compressiceps 1 female.A mate in the US says it is because the water temp we keep causes mostly male fry,your thoughts experiances please.
15-05-2006 10:58 by Ed	Yes i think your mate is right i read that in a mag some time ago.To get an even ratio you have to get the temp bang on ,i will try and find the right temp and let you know.

However pH may affect the sex ratio's with malawi and definately affect many species of dwarf cichlids.
