HURRAY
did a fish count yesterday and noticed i was one short. i looked in the flower pot and one of the dempseys had turned a amazing black colour and she was in there guarding her eggs. i thought i had a pair because 2 had become rather dominant and were starting to display sum amazing colours. i have tried to take some pics but is not easy as pot is facing back of tank which is against wall |

congratulations, for such a common species, it is rarely spawned. good luck on raising them. |

whites not a good colour though. you might find they will be gone in the next day or two but a great start. |

there are only about 7 white ones now the rest have gone a browny colour. does this mean they have been fertilised?

the parents will pick off the white ones. the brown ones are a great sign. looking very promising. you may like to add an antibacterial treatment to the tank. just a light dose. |
