23-05-2006 18:12 by TARTINJOCK	I am upgrading to Rio 240, What is the filter like, I ave 2 Oscars, couple of cats and a Birchar. Will the filter be good enough, I have a PRO 2 2026 just now, should I run that also, I know you can't over filter a tank and it wont do it any harm, the Rio filters at 600ltr/hr, is this enough?
23-05-2006 18:55 by ROCKOO	i find that all the juwel tank filters are rubbish they last the full month the best thing to do is cut them out and if u can afford it use an external.

23-05-2006 20:45 by frozenball	read practicle fish keeping mag this month as it has a reveiw on the juwel internal filter , im going to be using one alone with a ehime wet and dry . The mag give it a thumbs up i belive .
23-05-2006 21:00 by Lexter	i have a Rio 180 and took out the 180 powerhead and put in a 240 powerhead and swapped 80% of the spounge for ceramic filter media, runs like a dream, tank is overstocked with livebearers, all healthy, plants thriving (have posted pics before) Ammonia and Nitrite ALWAYS 0 even after 3-4 weeks no watch change (altho i usually do fortnight 25%)
