Oranda bite or something else? |

ok as some of you know i just got a XXXL black oranda....well today we came home to find part of his head missing! looks rather like a piece bitten
oranda shares tank with only other orandas so nothing nasty as tank mates

the grey lighter area was part of his head lump.....anyone experience things like this before?
would like to hear your experiences

hi popey cud jus be a bacterial infection not a bite tho! have u added any tonis salt that might clear it up as some shops keep their cold water fish with a lil bit of it in! |

nikki have had some in a tank for past year ......no problem at all
however added the fish above and having problems with tank will keep you informed ......one fish has gone quiet and others showing signs of stress.....
am taking steps to reduce nitrate levels
noticed similar thing in the fish-shop where we got him from last week |

note we had new fish last week and only this week revisited and their fish looked different ........returned home and ours have now started to go same as those in fish shop. |

oh dear, sounds like you've brought home a disease with your latest fish, how annoying. Have you said anything to the shop you got him from, I'll keep my fingers crossed that they all pick up for you, I know how frustrating it can be. |
