THEY OFTEN SHOOT THIER HEAD THESE GROW BACK WITHIN 4-6 WEEKS I BUY 200 AT A TIME SO AM SOME WHAT AN EXPERT,LOL PICK IT UP IF ITS STILL ALIVE IN THIER THEN YOULL FEEL IT MOVE JUST SQUEEZE THE TUBE FROM THE BOTTOM AND WORK UP IF IT THIER IT WILL APPEAR AT THE TOP POSSIBLE WITHOUT A HEAD , IF IT HAS NO HEAD THE ,JUST BURY IT UNDER THE SUBSTRAITE AND BEFORE YOU KNOW IT IT WILL POKE OUT AGAIN , IF ITS DEAD THEN IT WILL STINK,IF ITS GONE THEN YOU PROBABLY NEVER HAD ONE IN THE TUBE IN THE FIRST PLACE .YOU SHOULD BUY FROM ME MINE ARE LARGE AND CHEAP 7.49 EACH I SELL THEM FOR ,CHECK OUT TUBEWORMS ON EBAY ,MY USER NAME IS MOANINGALISON8 |

CRAIG I WOULD NT BOTHER , THE FEATHERS ARE THIER PRIMARY FOOD SOURCE (FGOR CATCHING IT ANYWAY)IN THE WILD THE SHOOT THIER HEADS WHEN THREATENED , THEY ALSO PRODUCE THIER OWN FOOD INSIDE THEMSELVES ,AND THEY CAN LAST FOR AN ABSOLUTE AGE ON THAT FOOD SOURCE.A HEALTHY WORM SHOULD BE OUT 90 % OF THE TIME WHEN YOU LIGHTS ARE ON ,HOW MUCH DO YOU PAY FOR YOUR TUBEWORMS? |

I thought that the only time the Feather duster comes out is when the wife gets it out. |

I've got thousands of tube worms in my tank not the big ones but the little ones they have multiplied at an alarming rate.
Incidentally they do sometimes leave the tube and go elsewhere Ihad one do this so don't be surprised if it turns up at the other end of the tank or something like that equally if they want to be closer to the substrate they will shrink back down the tube burrow a bit and then chew the unwanted bit off of their tube give it time. |
