Firstly, well done! I have a pair of rotkeil that have bred, just leave them to it, they should raise the babies themselves no problem, I assume there are no other fish in the tank? |

I would definately move some fish, there will be no where near enough room in there for all those fish. I take it at the moment they are juvinilles? they grow qiuck and will become aggressive. Also if the severums feel the fry are in danger they will eat them. If the 4 plecs are all common ones you need to re home 3 of them. To be honest that size tank is only really suitable in the long term for the pair of severums.
Jack dempseys so a lot of aggression as do convicts and oscars. |

Once the severum babies are hatched the parents will get very defensive and absolutely hammer anything that comes near them, you'll end up with all your other fish hiding up one end of the tank beaten up... i would remove the other fish and leave the parents to raise the babies... thats what happened with ours and about 20 of the fry were raised succesfully and are now a good size. |
