eheim breather tube |

Help please......
i have an eheim 2227 wet and dry external filter system and i keep getting an annoying gurgling sound from the breather tube is this normal or is there anything i can do to stop this....thanks |

Sounds like it needs bleeding properly, how long has it been like that? They normally clear themselfs after a couple of hours tops......I have no trouble with my 2026, 5 mins and it's silent, might be worth trying again.

are your intake and return the same lentgh. if not it dont work proper. |

no the breather should be longer . the breather out let isnt in the water is it. its ment to be out thats why its a breather buddy . its ment to be just above water line. |

yes its above the water level but it spits water out every 30secs or so |

thats it breathing . how lon you had it running? iv had mine for 6 months and had no prob , its now on ebay as well as the rest of my filters due to upgrade they are bad bad for nitrates . |

Dude, I know the problem.
Its becuase the breathing dude is not vertical above the filter. If its vertical the water will drain back into the filter. If its not vertical it will get trapped in the breathing tube and hence cause the gurgling sound. HTH |
