if its a new setup , then leave it off for about 6 weeks so it gives the good bactria time to grow . (sounds like a yakult advert)

yea the chiller is great a cool 25 no matter what time of day .3 higher somtime but that is all at the mo . The water is clear now and all of my levels are acceptible apart from the mag running a bit low and a small amount of phos but i do have a rowaphos running in the skimmer now that has taken it down quiet a bit the only other problem is a algae bloom green and brown everywhere even in the sand . i do have 10 turbos 5 red leg hermits and a workaholic emerald crab but i am planning on increasing this tomorrow , more grazers needed i guess . last tests were done with salifert test kits all years within date.

ammonia <0.25 (the lowest that salifert displays)
phosphate 0 - 0.03
nitrite 0
nitrate 0.1
ph 8.4
magnesium 1230
calcium 430
kh 8.6 / 3.09
