Hello i have kept them together with no problems but i do find clowns a little boisterouswhen feeding and there nocteral habits could be a problem and also the discus might get overwellmed when the clowns get bigger

afgrand - your post made me chuckle, please dont take this the wrong way, but it sounds like the discus you referred to would drop dead of a heart attack as soon as the clown loach move!!! Surely there must be some type of fish counselling available to these discus you refer to, in order for them to overcome their anxiety disorder anxiety disorder

Lex,afgrand is right with his comment, once these fish get spooked they can become neurotic,I had a tank once where this happend and they started beating themselves to bits, had to split them up,took ages with dither fish to calm them again, mind you the picture of a discus with a little clown hanging off its tail is funny.

I have small clown loaches in with my discus, I did have my larger clowns in with them but removed them due to the aforementioned problems! Once the small one's get more boisterous they will be put in another tank as well.

Panda corries might find the temp to high, other tanks mates sound good

bronze corries work best, the high temp doesn't seem to bother them at all
