I have got a Eheim 2228, with no instructions (2nd hand), it has 3 media baskets, at the moment I have a 2026, with 2 media baskets. The lower has Ehfi Ceramic Media, then a blue filter pad, then the second Basket which has Ehfi Ball things, brown, about a 1cm in diameter, then the fine filter pad.
This new filter has a third (top) Basket in it, I assume that this sits on the middle basket, below the fine filter pad, but what goes in it? The fine pad will go above this, but what goes in it, it came with Sintered Glass Media in one of the baskets, which looks like porous rock to me, off white in colour rough edges, does this go on top, then the pad? Stop laughing and please help... |

are u sure its not a 2028 pro 2 3compartments never mind if not bottom has ehfi mech in, then blue filter pad middle has ehfi subtrate or similar follwed by the same again then follwed by another pad and finally a white pad above the handle of the top basket. if you like i can scan in the main page and send it to you or put it up here , but cant do till tomorrow afternoon. hth richard. |

Cheers, that makes sense, So I can just swap my baskets over, bottom basket, blue pad, middle basket, blue pad, top basket then white pad. |

yes the last 2 baskets are of the same madia the dif bieng from a two stage filter is you have more bio filteration in a 3 basket version, hth , richard |

ps first basket in bottom is a pre filter then blue nylon sponge. then bio media, i will scan a pic for you tomorrow. |

sorry not alot of good u need to look at the right hand side 1 , the rezise site wouldnt do my scan image so had to take pic instead. may be webmaster can do somthing with it for me. |
