i am planning to stock in my tank the following will this be ok please?

1 blue cheek goby
2 common tank bread clowns
1 mandarin
1 Peacock/Vermiculate Wrasse
1 cleaner wrasse
1 dwarf flame angle
1 yellow tang
1 regal tang

my tank is 400 litre it has 50 kilo of live rock in it . I am not going to add all of the fish at once but two weekly . I do have a good clean up crew and good skimmer ( deltec mce600 )i am also adding bits and peices of soft coral as i go along also. Is that ok or do i have to have less fishes

best to have a uv mate aswell and ive never kept one but it will hard to get the manderin to eat because they take their time and the food will get eaten by other fish

I think the mandarin should find enough food with 50 kilos of live rock!

The only one I would be concerned about is the blue cheeked goby, assuming it is Valenciennea strigata. These can be very difficult to keep and often fade away eventhough they appear to eat.

Scrub the cleaner wrasse these often do not thrive in captivity. Also scrub the peacock wrasse this will out compete the mandarin for food.

The key to succesfully keeping mandarins is no direct competition certainly not from a wrasse.

Also with the mandarin food delivery is crucial don't just throw a frozen cube of artemia in put it against the in take of a stream pump and the artemia will be distributed through out the water column this will present frozen food in an almost live manor this is the key to getting mandarins to eat frozen foods.

I would also agree with the comment regarding the blue check goby it maybe worth trying to feed it by pushing a cube of frozen artemia into the sand once a week this will encourage it to eat in a natural way and hopefully it will get the idea that artemia in the water column is the same and you will be able to modify its habits bury a cube of froxzen food in the substrate from tme to time ifs a good idea though providing different locations are used as it will encourage movement of burrowing organisms through the substrate keeping it well turned over.

ok i think for now i will drop the mandarin as i really want a peacock wrasse , also forgot to add the royal gramma . The blue check is already in the system and he has turned oiver the entire sand base in a week getting rid of all of my algae , i have been feeding him/her a block of frozen food a day in two sittings and he is a hog , so much that he is pooing quiet alot , thank god for nass snails i see what you mean by them now excellent little workers . The blue cheek has also made hiding hole under every bit of rock touching the sand . I have also been putting the food straight over my most powerful power head as you have suggested and it blows the food all over the place and i can see now what you say that it mimmics them being alive . I will also be adding fresh live food once or twice a week .
