24-06-2006 13:48 by thelastdon	ok here goes i ave a eheim 2227, now to my understanding these filters have an extra bit containing polystyrene thing (sorry not very good with the technical stuff) that fills with water then emptys once the poly thing has risen to the top. mine used to do this but stop thought the night. water is still passing through the filter but at a trickle rate which is what it used to do then when the poly rased to the top an extra bust of water would come through the outlet pipe. ive striped down the filter cleaned parts and made sure nothing was blocking the pipeways and still cant seem to find ny fault. its also become very noisey like when my old eheim 2323 used to do when it had trapped air. can any one help

24-06-2006 14:10 by thelastdon	no mate breather not blocked, tube are same lenght its been running fine for a few months and ive not made any changes just stopped working last nigh. ive just tried shutting of the outlet pipe and it filled up the poly tube, oncei released the outlet i got the burst but now its not filling again grrrrrrrrrrrr
24-06-2006 14:15 by trik	it sounds like one of the seals is failing on the poly float chamber to me . On the float chamber there is a ring you can undo to split it in two is the seal in there and is it done up tight?
