hi,anyone made a home made filter out of a ibc 1000 litre tank for a pond,how much alfagrog required,where can i get large filter matting from

you can buy loads of filter matting for a reall cheap price at your lfs

hi ,filter matting has to be 4x3 foot,dont think many lfs would stock that size

fill it wit 500l of algafrog and then put japanese matting ontop

also ad quite a lot of large airstones and you will have THE ULTIMATE biological filter

i agree with nige algafrog possably flocor. you can get japanese matting from ebay in 2x1m chunks.

put the air stones at the bottam so it oxygenates the water thoughout the filter
