Hi guys,
I mentioned my texas on a thread a few days ago, here is a pic of them, would you say they have paired off? they are always in this corner and never apart from each other, they just wont breed! Strange!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I will get a pic of the full set up the texas are in, it has a white sand bottom and marine glo light, with the ocean rock it looks stunning, everyone i know wants it, They like it that much i now set up all my mates to look the same! |

hello ryan' nice pics!are ya sure you got a true pair?only my male texas'dorsal+anal fins seem to be alot longer than in ya pics they hang over the tail! maybe it might be the clarity of the pic??? |

It was taken by a camera phone telboy, The male is alot darker around the anal area, and the female is smaller, I hope there a true pair, The female seems to be the boss tho! |

Very possible - behaviour counts for a lot! Very nice Pair of Cyanoguttatus in spawning colour!
My only concern is they do not appear to have any good spawning sites. All your rocks are rough and wont provide serfaces to place the eggs. Not really suitable for centrals. They may well spawn on the bottom of the glass after digging out a hole though.
You may wish to hive them a couple of clay flowerpots, as these make good caves for them to spawn in. |

Ok, So if i lay a piece of slate approx 4" Square and build around it with other stones this should suffice? Rob,,, in your opnion do my texas look like they are ready to breed? |

I HAD A TEXAS PAIR WITH A JACK DEMPSEY AND GOT DOWN TO DIGGING AND DEFENDING THERE PLOT.ARE YOURS DEFENDING THAT SPOT OR GETTING BULLIED AND STAYING UP ONE END AWAY FROM THE TROUBLE AND CAN ONLY FIND PIECE AT THAT EMD OF THE TANK AND R JUST TOLERATING EACH OTHER. |
