darknight - I wish my Geersti looked like this, it was possibly this pics that made me get them in the 1st place
Unfortunately mine are now adult an do not have these stricking colours, although they are still a lovely fish and looked very much like yours above when they aere a little younger |

hi thanks for all the help, when i bought them i was told two where Copadichromis verginalis and one was an otopharynx lithobate, which was which i cant remember so i thought i would ask and see if anybody knew .
somebody is selling Copadichromis verginalis and they sent me this pic it does look like fish no 1, if fish no 1 is a
Copadichromis verginalis then is 2 or 3 verginalis also or are they all lithobates ????
so the question is lithobate or virginalis which is which??????????
here's the pic the person selling Copadichromis verginalis( or not ) sent me

darknight, virginalis/geerstii are one of the same thing, the latter being a name rarely used nowadays
My money is still on my original suggestion, even more so now |

thanks for all the help Wymcot.
i think your right about no 1 being a verginalis , Geersti so would you say no 2 is geersti and no 3 is a otophyrnx lithobate. |

Having now seen No 2 I'm convinced
As for No 3, thats a bit more difficult
|

so 1 and 2 deffinately virginalis/geerstii, no 3 must be a Otopharynx Lithobate then methinks.
thanks for all the help Wymcot
