Will these 2 species of mbuna be ok together? |

Pseudotropheus polit and Pseudotropheus socolofi (Albino). I'm mainly worried about the two extremes of aggression. I'll be getting 1m/3f of both species.
Does anyone think there would be any other problems?
Thanks |

I think you should be fine Lisa, The majority of Mbuna are agressive, your always going to get agression from them! But give it a shot! |

As long as you have enough hiding places (rocks) they will sort themselves out.
Whatever Mbuna you keep you should always be prepared for casualties but if your tank is set up correctly, this should be kept to a minimum |

Thanks for the replies...
I have mbuna at the moment (RZs, afras and Lab.fuellebornis) but thinking of setting up another tank. The temperaments are all pretty equal in the fish I have which is why I was curious/worried about combining 2 species that were complete opposites. |

I agree they will be fine together - but 6 fish in a tank by themselves is too few. I would add more specimens - depending on the size of the tank. |

Oh and I'll be getting 4 of the 2 species, not 3
I havent decided what else I'll put in with them yet though |

I've eventually decided what I'll put with the polits and snow whites... Labidochromis Hongi (SRT) to add a bit of colour and a middle ground of aggression |
