hi there
keeping sturgeon in a tank would be tricky for these reasons.
the only sturgeon you would get to fit in a tank as an adult is a sterlet and grows to 40" and requires water temprature of 10-18 degrees celcius, it requires clean clear well-oxygenated water with a good flow and on to of that it's carnivorous
the only other one is the shovel nose sturgeon grows to same lenght and requires same conditions, all the rest grow to 20 plus feet
hope this helps |

it something like 40 grand if you dont have one , protected fish.thats what iv been told by my fish guy. i wont say lfs it sound bad, like getting it from a gaden centre full of school kids on a sat or sunday . ( shouldnt of said that ) incoming. |

suppliers will sort the licence out for you with each order, the sturgeon and sterlet available to us are all sterilised as are the grass carp, so that they can't breed when keepers release them in to the wild when they start to get big |

nahh not worth doing. sturgeon need fast flowing, cold and well oxygenated water to thrive, dare i say survive im of the opinion that they shouldnt even be sold in the UK at all based on sizze alone let alone the conditions they need. |

going on that basis neither should redtail or shovel nose tigers catfish |

as danny boy says - dont even try it. they need high oxygen water and loads of space. they wwould be gasping for air before you know it. |
