I have a 50 gal. and am not attaching a 40 gal. refugium. I'm wondering what is the purpose of amphipods, and do I need them for my size of tank if I have an anemone, clownfish, angels, a tang, chromis and gobies? What is their purpose and the purpose of brine shrimp? What eats them? And if you order brine shrimp eggs, do they replicate in the tank?

you will probably find all the brineshrimp will get eaten before replicating and anphipods are small crustacun like creatures which will help get rid on nitrates etc and also will get eaten by manderins as most will not eat anything but corraline algae and crustation like creatures etc
