17-07-2006 10:43 by keith t	ive had my rena 400ltr tank for 4 years and it started bowing. i went down the shop and complained but it was out of warranty. they gave me renas phone number to complain to them, so i did. rena were brilliant, they took my word for it and delivered me a new tank, filter, lights and heaters within a week at no cost to myself. i only wanted a new tank, what a great service, im now staying with rena tanks for life

I just told them the tank was bowing and where i bought it from and they said see your retailer , i said i have and they told me to phone u. So they put me through to someone that said that even though its out of guarantee, they expect there tanks to last a lot longer so out of goodwill they will send me another direct from them. when they turned up ( by courier) they delivered the whole lot but not the base and all i gave them back was the tank. and i mean just the tank, not even the lids. IS THAT A RESULT OR WOT.dont try this too soon as ive only just done it, and i was genuine. im not buying any other make of tank again with customer service like that:

17-07-2006 12:15 by keith t	always worth ago u have nothing to loose. but the bloke highly reccomended not to keep much water in mine coz it could blow. u wouldnt want that happening

17-07-2006 14:00 by wymcot	"Not too keep too much water in it", surely he was having a laugh. A certain ammount of bowing is normal, if its excessive, and the manufacturer says it is "expected to last longer than that" this causes a little concern, do they expect them to break or something after a certain period of time. In any case, you've done well, the bow in the original tank can easily be cured by putting in a top centre brace (when its empty), I would recommend you do simlilar with the new one before setting it up.

What an idea mate, Got to go to the retailer tonight and pick it up, they dont even want my old1 back, I dont get the cabinet but i get everything else, Lights, Filter etc etc!!!!
17-07-2006 15:23 by darren	did a similar thing with a Hagen heater,it stuck on over night Phoned Hagen and got a new heater,replacement fish to the value of £300 and loads of freebies thrown in

17-07-2006 15:52 by Malawimad	The number is 01953606363, I dont have my receipt but there prepared to give me a new one, I bought mine 18 months ago and still no issue, There only guarenteed for 24 months!! So u may struggle!!!
