what are the best 4ft bulbs on the market for plants??

i can have up to two bulbs.

upgrade to t5 if you can you can then have 36w bulb instead of 30w,
you want to be aiming for 1.5w per gallon

one is a 36watt dayglow
the other is a 36watt white glow.

it has the standadrd juwel light unit in the top

u need power glo
and u can still up the wattage with using t5s i was going by my lights which are 30w but they r 3ft, ihave 5 lights at 30w for 400ltr tank. u may be able to get 42w bulbs for t5 butsthats only guessing as i havnt looked into it for 4ft bulbs

i dont relly want to change the light unit on it just the bulbs.
someelse recormended them powerglow's.
its a 240 litre tank

no to natural sun light as this is difficult to control and will only lead to algae outbreak

with this weather YES. the bulbs from a power glo have a sort off blue glow to them

the ones i have now do

the white glow has a white glow
n the day glow an orange glow
and they luk horrible

they are 42" long
witch is neither 3 foot nor 4foot
so what bulbs are they?

try putting a reflector on your hood the light bounces back and lights it up more
