My Kribensis fry are about 5-weeks old now. If i didnt know any different i would think they were corydoras fry. They seem to spend 100% of the time on the bottom of the tank (which is plain glass) nibbling for left over food!!!
Seem fine, just looks bizaare!!! |

typical of kribs, they always stay at the bottom of the tank foraging. |

How do the paired kribs interact with the other kribs? How much territory do they claim when they want to spawn? Is the male loyal to the female or sniffing around other females? Sorry for the multi questions chap but when your threads get left as fish related you always have quality info.Keep it up conman or are you now kribman! |

Thank Mate, i know what you mean about the posts pal
Right, my Male Kribs always fought each other from oppostie ends of tank, they both paired up, and left the 5th Krib (female to go it alone).
HOWEVER since i moved all the Kribs out of Rio 180 community into 3 footer with just Kribs and Brichardi young, one of the male Kribs died (yesterday - am gutted), now the lone male is getting all the attention from all the females!!! is funny to watch
BUT in reponse the your question, usually both males stayed loyal to one female
HEROS, my theory is that now there is one male breeding will be easier, i think in the past the big male (who died) would always riun it for everyone with his aggression
Thanks for your comments, i do try and leave good fish posts, but because i like a larf my dicisples always come on to my threads with humour and i fear it scares the "knowledgeable peeps" away. |
