31-07-2006 19:55 by Lexter	there seem to be conflicting views on it, about half my tanks are FULL of bog wood (when i use bog wood i use loads) and half my tanks have no bog wood in pH is exactly same in each tank, well i say that, but what i mean, is the colours on pH test results are exactly the same
31-07-2006 19:56 by Lexter	this is from the other thread 17-07-2006 by Lexter if bog wood softens water, then why would peeps need to bother with RO and other expensive and compliacted water softening procedures??? 17-07-2006 by Lexter multiple posting alert but anyway i have a variety of bood wood in my Rio 180, easily £100 worth if you went to normal fish shops, some if brand new, some is 2nd hand, some is Mopani, no difference to my pH and thats after lots of readings in a period of over 6months pH in my Rio 180 is 7.8 pH in all my other tanks 7.8 pH in my Rock and Gravel tank 7.8 and that was done in Dartford fish shop where they measure it accurately if there is bog wood that softens water, i want some!!!! then i can start getting more South American Cichlids
