Posted help my anemone is tryig to eat my power head

My anemone climbed to the top of my tank, pulled the bottom of my powerhead, is trying to eat it and won't let go!!!

my clown is getting very fished off and protective and keeps attacking the bit of powerhead!!!!

this has been going on all day!!!

what should I do?????

I dont no much about this sort of stuff, but whats stopping you from putting your hand in the tank and taking it of him.

tried that wont let go ! it wraps itself around it and closes up

turn the power head off as it will eventually kill the anemone, then c if u can get it off if not move the powerhead to the other end of the tank with the anemone attached and it will probably move off to find a better spot

dont try to take it off as you could rip the foot asnd this will kill it

it's not attched to the power head? it pulled the little filter cover off of the bottom of it and then kindof jumped off the rock at the top of the tank, i think bits of food where caught in the filter bit and it is tryig to eat them.

as wayne said turn power head OFF for the night , it will find its own way out . In future put some sponge around your power heads

he aint happy his foot is all rounded and his not going to stay put untill he (it) finds a good spot.

it eats the frozen food shrimp mix and stuff bit of reef plus, t5's halides

there is good news though mary (the clown) has pulled it out ! litterally!! hector does not look to pleased but i am relieved though.

Get a small sponge to put over the intake of the power head it should stop it happening again your nem has had a lucky escape many are lost to the impellors of power heads.
