22-08-2006 13:32 by dipwing	Hi folks, new to this forum. I intend to use a half barrel made from wood as a small water feature/pond with the intention of homing a couple of small fish. Can someone recommend a suitable sealant to fully waterproof the barrel please? I don't want to use pond liners as the seams would look unsightly. Thanks dipwing
22-08-2006 13:53 by KOBISKYE	if the barrel was made by a good couper, then it shouldnt leak mate im in the whisky trade, dealing with casks right now, but any leaks we use the traditional method, which is straw tightly packed into the leaking area, and they dont leak for 12 years
