hi,i purchased 4 x4inch discus saturday , put them in my tank which houses a few tetras and bristlenose plecs , they do swim freely but if i approach the tank they shy away and hide, i have also tried feeding them with dry food and beefheart but they will not feed, is this normal behaviour will they settle down eventually ...thanks dave |

Yes, this normal. Its takes them a while to settle and iniatially might be skittish and shy.
Be patient with the food incase it pollutes the water. Good luck. |
