Finger Coral (Porites compressa) has finger-like branches with porous skeletons. The tips of its branches are usually blunt or flattened. It is light-brown to yellowish in color. Finger coral's structure has calices that flush with the surface. The upper septa surface looks like elevated rods. This species can be found in wave protected areas, 0-50 meters from shore. It is known as pohaku puna to Hawaiians.

Needs to have good water flow around it to help with the shedding of the mucus layer. What sort of water turnover have you got in your tank I always aim for a theoretical maximum of 20 times the total tank volume per hour as a minmum my tank is currently running at 37 times per hour.

Also double check calcium and carbonate hardness I have found when these get a little low leathers close up.
