We need to find out what options we have for our koi. There are around 20 of them ranging from 8" to almost 3'. Initially our thoughts were to put them in a large paddling/swimming pool with the filter, UV etc attached.
Does anyone know of anywhere that would temporarily house them? How much it would cost?
We are in Leeds and the closer the better.
Many thanks

you are looking to keep the koi i assume? how far away is the new address in hours? i take it new address has no pond? as for housing them you may find a large koi shop will help you out. offer them rent money if they wont. but you may run the risk of the fish catching/spreading something or other.
the paddling pool will work temporary and more regular water changes will help with the over stocking issue. as for the filter i read in a fish mag that a filter can last up to 3 hours without circulation but after that time the filter may as well be flushed and started again. |

I would buy a large quarantine tank to keep the fish in until you build a new one.
Look in the Yorkshire free adds or the yeller,I know there's some for sale at the moment & cheap too.

Thanks for your suggestions.
We haven't found anywhere yet so they will be in my mums garden. We would put our pump, filter and UV on it and cover it.
I just wondered if anywhere specifically catered for this kind of thing.
