is that the 30litre one as my mother have this and i thinks its just to small to do much with.
The next one i think is 60litre this would be alot better and gives you a few more options

nice idea however i dont like the distortion you get when you view the fish ( my personal opinion Bruce)

what size did you get? i thought u need a good size shoal to reduce the nipping !!

im sure you will enjoy

Its the 30 litre, and i have a friend who has 12 baby tiger barbs and would sell them all for £3, and the tank was very cheap aswell.

I really fancy one of these for my desk at work and would be interested to hear how you get on with it. I had thought about neon tetras.

FIRE WARNING !!!!
Bruce i just read a webpage on practical fishkeeping and they warn to keep your Bi-orb away from sunlight

it can act like a magnifying glass

Yeah there was a sticker on the glass saying about that, but it is well out of the way of sunshine.

I had loads of problems with mine and mine was the 60 litre size, no matter what i did everything went belly up, looking at you r tiger barb thread bruce i wouldn't add anything else, even 10 barbs is a bit mean in a 30 litre one

I think they are great tanks if maintained and stocked correctly

Take a look at this forum dedicated to BiOrbs and BiUbes there is plenty of info there with stocking ideas, maintenance and pics galore

My LFS does these. It's called a Bowl45 and is made of glass rather than the biorb's plastic which I understand scratches badly.

The filter is in the roof and I modded mine to fit the 50W Visitherm heater in there too so there is nothing sticking down.

I'm not pretending this is a great aquarium but Vallis and Platies make it better than the lava lamp don't you think?
