Get yourself the new Eheim Pro 3 for 220.00 with media delivered. The best on the market, I would stay away from fluvel. If not then one of the big eheim 2260 bucket filters (monsters). Dont take much notice of what they are rated to (due to the messy fish you keep), look at the volume more than anything. A minimum of 12 litres volume would be best in my view.
You can never have no much filtration.
I wouldnt take the risk of using anything else other than eheim (if it happened to break down thats your fish poss dead). Its like Germen cars, they make the best hence I have a BMW and use Eheim filters. |

yes i do i have a pro 4
Good filter for the money, plenty of room for filter media, the plastic feels cheap if you know what i mean, but netherless i can recommend it, been using it about 6 months now no probs. My only complaint is that when you take the hose connections off is that they trap a bit of water between filter and shut of valve and this cant help but leek over floor when removing. only bought coz it was cheap and i needed one straight away was saving for enheim. Enheim filter pads fit this aswell. its quite an acceptable alternative to enheim |

they are ok but the flow rate is considerably lowered by media to probably less than half.
what sort of fish are you keeping in the 6x2x2. |
