here are some pics of my pride and joy in my 7 x 30 x 30 tank.
they are my male and female peacock bass.
male is 16" and female is 14"
to give u an idea how big the male is look at the ceramic pot behind him and that is big and u will see he is bigger than that.
any other pics of any large peacock bass will be welcomed. |

mine are both occelaris peacock bass and they are wild bred not tank bred so it is harder to get them to eat when young.
i am on the look out for some large cuban cichlids, pearsei or bocourti cichlids at 8" or bigger so if anyone has any and they are reasonably priced leave a message |

in my local maidenhead aquatics store they have just had a batch of tank bred occelaris peacock bass in and they are selling them for a very reasonable £10 each.they are around the 3" mark and are all feeding well.I have ordered 6 of them and once they have been in for a week or so i will be adding them to my 4 foot aqurium with the plan to grow them then transfer them into my 7 x 30 x 30 aquarium with the other big boys!! |

jake i have no probs with them at all in my tank and they are in with the following :
28" niger, 28" granulosis, 20" redtail, 10" flowerhorn, 7" loiselli, 10 and 9" euarpthalmus, 16" arrowana, 14" flagtail barb, 9" synspillum and 8" dovii cichlid.
admittedly i have some hardy fish in with them but i have total harmony and the even the redtail is an angel. |
