Thinking about buying one of these filters are they really as good as what people say they are.
Anyone ever experianced any problems with them.
I know theres loads of parts available for them but this has made me think that parts are so available coz things keeps going wrong with the filters. |

Got a Pro 2 2028 in a Rio 240, with Malawi so it has lots of fish in it, no worries whatsoever, not needed to do anything to it in the last 3 months, works a treat. |

Keith, the other positive thing about Eheim, is that they are probably the quietest. I don't know if this is a consideration for you |

cheers for the eheim feedback, am going to purchase one. Do u think i should go for one with no media for £107.95 or with media £129.99 thats inc delivery which seems very resonable to me, down my lfs they want £210 ( RIP OFFS ).
Anyone know anywhere cheaper than what i found let me know. |

Depends on what media you want. If you just want a good solid filter go for the media. Its pretty good an expensive to buy eheim seperately. Or you could go a budget brand - or if you want the best go for siporax, but it pricy. |

Look on EBAY, I got mine for £50, no worries, as lots have said they are very reliable, you can then get whatever media you want, worth a look, you will usually get the spray bar, syphon etc with the filter.
Cpoy and paste this numbet into the search on EBAY- 300024560936
Good luck

To be honest, it's up to you, you pick one up cheep, they are very reliable, I changed the impeller on mine, didn't have to, cost about £7 I think, took about a minute to do, thats the hardest working part of the filter, just did it prior to setting up as everything was dry and wouldn't have needed to disturb the filter once set up. |

Pro 3 if you have messy fish, I was ordering one the other week for my 350 litre tank then someone contacted me with 2 bucket filters each rated to 1000 litres so bought them for it. |
