setting up a marine tank |

have decided to get the tank some off the rock is live rock but not a lot what is the best way to move it all will be collecting it on wednesday i want all shrimps ect in it mainley what ones are best and will they be ok with the crabs this is a pic off the tank at the moment |

save as much water as u can,bag up the live stock, the rock can be put in buckets,same with the sand put in buckets |

we have decided to put everythink into a 3ft tank as the tank on the pic is only about 21\2 ft but i carnt decide wether to put coral sand or coral gravel ??? also i am ashomming that as long as all the water that is in the old tank is put in the new tank everythink hopefully should be ok and i have found a ro unit which i am going to bid on as well i was thinking off turning the old tank into a sump but not quite sure how or which way to do it any idears would be great |

thist make sure how old the water is and when last a waterchange has been carried out otherwise it is wise to only use 70% off mature water and top up with new water as you should do a fortnight waterchange of 30% in any case.as for gravel you should decide if you gonna run a plenum system with 4 inches of gravel or not i have a plenum with 2 inches crushed coral and 2 inches fine gravel on top wich seems to work fine |
