Food for oscars |

Hi what is a good dry food for large oscars? as i have 2x 6"+ and one 10.5" i feed them king british cichlid sticks for preditiry cichlids, is there any other dry food as the big one won't anything exept prawns and mussels? Also how often shall i feed them prawns and mussels because there is also 9 large parrots in with them. |

Feed them earthworm free from the garden, great source of protein, my parrots and oscars used to love them. Make sure you rinse the dirt off first though.
Tought i include a pic of me parrots and oscar, the other oscar had to be rehomed as it started to get picked on Sweatybetty (oscar)

soory bruce, just noted you said dry food. i used to feed Hikari gold. Pellets range from small to large. This was all i fed them when dry food is concerned. I swear by hikari. |

i also feed hikari. as for a fish not eating them and only eating prawns my fish would starve until it ate the dry food. believe me that is a clever oscar taking you for a ride... give it two weeks of no treats and it'll be scoffing down the dry stuff |

I fed mine on Hikari Gold Lge pellets when I had them, mine did not like earhtworms, well fussy, used to feed them Cockle/mussel/praws 2-3 times a week, also some natural food, if you know what I mean? |

tartinjock ur getting as bad as kobiskye, must be a scots thing, u only mentioned live food coz u saw dannyboys name, u know how touchy he gets about feeding fish to fish |

i use to give my mother of pearl cichlid maggots and castors as a treat
after a day fishing !!!
think good fishing shops have all size of bate(FOOD) sqwats being the very small ones !

where has it been alan my lfs used to stock this and im finding it hard to get hold off. They told me hikari cant manufactuer it quicker enough to meet demands, is this true or a load of cock and bull:o |

Thats rubbish keith there are ingredients in hikari that did not pass european scrutiny they now thankfully have. It should start reappearing now I bought some at the weekend. |
