Is this the better looking sub-species? Picking one up over next few days and not a great deal of info on the net.
What size have you seen them grow too - 18"+? Also do they colour up more as they age and has anyone had probs with aggression?
Thanks in advance |

hi jake where are you getting it from?
i had a 11" one but my silver arowana took a disliking to him and battered him.
now the aro is gone i am looking for another.
i will try to post a pic. it was an occelaris(not sure of spelling)really yellow and not aggressive at all. |

jake i have a breeding pair of occelaris peacock bass.the male is 15" and the female around the 13" mark.
i have no problems with them except when they are hungry.i know when they need feeding bcoz they bcome very boisterous in the tank towards other fish.apart from that they are great.
in my opinion occelaris are the better and rarer species and if like mine they are wild bred then you better off again.the markings on mine are out of this world.
mine are housed in a 7 x 30 x 30 tank so matne they will grow to about 18-20".
here is a pic of my pair and the male is at the front.the pic doesn't do them justice size wise.believe me they are big!!!!
