how long can my fish go with out the skimmer there are only 2 fish in the tank as someone told me to mature my other tank with the skimmer on it |

you can run your aquarium for a while without the skimmer. i ran my inverts aquarium for many months without a skimmer.
in case you are worried though, keep your eye on water quality and maybe cut down the amount of feeding to reduce any water pollution. |
