Ive treat my tank last week with sera omnipur, for what I thought was bacterial infection. I waterchanged on saturday and have been filtering over carbon since then.
Now I need to treat for whitespot and want to know if I should waterchange beforehand, just to be sure all previous meds are removed. Btw I know to take out carbon before more treatments. |

If you are filtering with carbon, that will remove all medicines you apply, which means you needn't bother using them, if you use medicines, remove your carbon.
Hope that helps |

Kell, what i've done in the past with whitespot is increase the temp by a couple of degrees so the white spots falls from the fish to the base of the tank, then after 12 hours of increased temp i would treat, I dont think whitespot can be treated while its still on the fish...correct me if i'm wrong.
But using this method i've never had problems getting shut of it, so to answer your question, i would increase temp, leave 12 hours then treat, then i'd leave another day and water change!
thats just my opinion anyway, and its always worked! |

depending on what white spot med u use ,dont do a water change until the course of med is complete, then do a small water change |
