every thing seems fine apart from your sg being low, i and alot of other marine/reef keepers run our sg at 1.026 more like natural sea water , how long are aclimatizing the fish for , (sorry about spelling to early in the morning) |

Have you got damsels in your tank and do they suffer their dimize over night?
What s.g. is the shop you are buying from running at? Most with fish only run at 1.019 sometimes lower this inhibits whitespot. But is not viable long term. In order to aclimatise the fish ideally at least 2 hours should be spent slowly increasing the s.g. in the bag until it matches the tank I bought a foxface the other day and spent 4 hours aclimatising it some people spend longer doing this. |

if the clowns are small he /she may be looking at them as prey. |

trik,
had this problem before i got the lion fish which is a volitan and the clown fish are much bigger than him and spent most of the time in the Anemone which now to think of it also died about 3 days after the clown fish
alk is fine and i aclimatise them for about 2 hours |

have a look at your test kits dates they may be out of date or a bad test kit, i had a bad i mean BAD time with my reef set up all becausenof a poo test kit. wat i thought was 0 nitrate it turned out to be well over 100 ppm , funny that though people here have sim probs and on UR wich is a total marine / reef site. i will send you a link, .. |

Anemone are very difficult to keep so the fact it has died does not necessarily mena there is a problem in your tank. but the clownfish are a mystery I assume they are tank bred clowns? If they are it normally makes them one of the hardiest marine fish but if they are wild caught they will be extremely sensitive.
I would consider rehoming the lion fish before it starts hunting its tank mates volitans get big best to rehome it when small it will be far easier to deal with. The tangs will be fine but the cardinals might not be.
Also watch your stocking levels you may be approaching the max for the set up certainly you are if you are taking into account max attainable size of the fish.
I'm afraid thought that your problem has got me stumped. |
