I have only seen wimple fish (poor mans moorish idol) for sale in shops.
A good fish shop should be able to get you one, i think they dont stock them becasue of cost and how difficult they can be to keep. |

They are difficult feeders i have been told and dont adapt well to aquarium life.
No idea of price.

i would adivise against getting a morish idol as there survival rate is very low and are very difficult to keep for any length of time |

I would recommend you keep whimplefish instead - they are much hardier and full of character. Mine had a long trailing dorsal - very nice fish.

Moorish idols are not rare in the wild but as people have said are very difficult to keep importers and fish shops do not routinely stock them for this reason I would imagine cost could be well into 3 figures as you are looking at a very special order potential taking several months to complete. You will also be paying I suspect for the import of a single fish that is not cheap. |

Its a challenge to get them to feed in the first place once you have managed it they will eat and will eat well can you give a break down of your set up it may give a clue to your apparent success. |
