28-09-2006 15:28 by PaddyD	Well, it depends on what you like, if the system you are using at the moment works for you (both in providing good quality water and allowing you to perform maitanance tasks with little hassle) Then Why change it. But if you want to change, set up properly with a high quality media (siporax or similar), a sump/ trickle filter should be good and cope with lots of waste. Do note you will still have nirates though as a by product of your filter, so will have to find a way of keeping these down to an acceptable level. Of course you can add all your equipment to it as well. Just make sure you have a proper weir system to remove the water and you have an appropriate size pump. This will take a while to mature properly of course, so you should try and run your old filtersystem allongside the new one for a month/6 weeks.
