i dont know what there scientific name is or there common name . but i need to know as the male is swimming around belly up and i will need to find a replacement but i cant find one if i dont know what the name is do you see the problem |

nice fish, commonly called blue dolphins, proper name i think is Haplochromis Moori |

Yanton thanks for pointing me in the right diection i have found quite a few adverts . The lati name is actually cytocara moori but you were almost there and it was enough for me to find what i was looking for . thanks again. |

one of the dealers is listing them as cytocara/hap moori .so im now thinking that they are known by both names ,,,, confusing eh? i think wayne had the right answer. calling them plain old FISH! |

They do best in a hap only set up they are not rock dwellors and prefer open water they can get to quite a size as well fantastic fish though I used to have a shoal of 8 of these all around 6" long all breeding sadly lost them all in a power cut one of the reasons I gave up rift valley cichlids it was heart breaking losing so many fish. |
