Hey I've just had a look in my geophagus set up and found one of my brasiliensis dead. It was the female of the pair that died. The water is o.k. and there was no health problem's, but this morning it was sat on the bottom for most of the time. Do you think that the male could have pressured it into breeding again and killed it?
Luckily 2 of the young have survived and i've seen them swimming around. What do you think happened? Also could i keep a couple of african lumpheads with my Geophagus because it is looking a bit empty, as my uncle has got 30 babies? |

blockheads can be aggressive terratory wise. ive seen them kill firemouths defending an area in a tank. so bear that in mind.. coolest fish ever though. really nice to watch them bounce along the bottom of the tank |

What care do the babies need? Because my uncle has a breeding trio, One male two females, and they have produced 30 babies. |

same as any young fry. bi daily water changes and good quality food. |
